  • Founder & Estates Lawyer

    Britta is on a mission to modernize estate-related legal services. Prior to starting Modern Wills, Britta worked at a boutique tax and corporate firm in downtown Calgary. Britta is admitted to the Alberta Bar, and an active member of the Canadian Bar Association (Small and Solo Lawyers South).

    Britta's academic credentials include a Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary's Faculty of Law, where she made the Dean's List, and a Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction from the University of Calgary's Haskayne School of Business. Her dedication to serving the community was recognized with the Pro Bono Law Alberta, Pro Bono Champions of the Future Award in 2017.

    In addition to running Modern Wills, Britta loves spending time with her family, meeting dogs, travelling to new cities and trying new restaurants with her husband, and she is working towards publishing a wine magazine with her friends. She holds the Wine & Spirits Education Trust, Level 2 Award in Wines with Distinction.

    At Modern Wills, she combines her legal knowledge, business skills, and personal touch to provide clients with exceptional estate services.

  • Legal Assistant

    Taylor joined Modern Wills as a Legal Assistant in June 2025 with a background that combines legal training and years of office administration experience. She holds a Legal Assistant Diploma from SAIT and has previously worked for a boutique family law firm. She also spent several years building her administrative expertise in the aviation industry before returning to the legal field. Taylor brings a calm, detail-oriented approach to her work and takes satisfaction in being a reliable and supportive part of the team.

    Outside of work, you’ll usually find Taylor spending time with her senior dog or working on something creative such as sewing, crocheting, and other various craft projects that interest her.

    Taylor values work that makes a positive impact and finds fulfillment in being able to contribute in a meaningful way.
